Minister of Finance (Finland)

The Minister of Finance of Finland (in Finnish Valtiovarainministeri, in Swedish Finansminister) handles the Finance of Finland and all other matters covered by the Ministry of Finance. The current Minister of Finance is Eero Heinäluoma. The Ministry of Finance of Finland has two Ministers in the Council of State of Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen:
- Minister of Finance Eero Heinäluoma
- Coordinate Minister for Finance Ulla-Maj Wideroos
The different Ministers´ responsibilities in the Ministry of Finance are divided as follows:
Minister Wideroos handles matters covered by the European Investment Bank and the Nordic Investment Bank and matters related to taxation and customs. She also handles matters related to the Budget Council of the EU.
Minister of Finance Heinäluoma handles all other matters covered by the Ministry of Finance.
