Minimax tv

Minimax tv is an East-European cartoon channel which has been broadcast in Hungary since 1999; Romania since 2001; and Czech Republic and Slovakia since 2003.
The main policy goals of Minimax tv are: edutainment, non-violence, brand new shows and local classics. These policy goals have meant that the channel is much appreciated by children and their parents.[citation needed]
Cartoons that have been broadcast are: Braceface, Babar, Franklin, Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks, Barbie movies, Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, Noddy, Bibi Blocksberg, Maya & Miguel, Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends etcetera.
Minimax was also broadcast in Spain in the mid 1990's and encrypted using the Nagravision encryption system from the Astra Satellites 1B and 1C at 19.2 degrees east. The Channel was part of the Canal Satellite España channel bundle, which included CineMania, CineClassics and Documania. Sometime after 1996, Minimax began airing 'Nickelodeon en Minimax', a small segment of Nickelodeon branded programmes with Spanish dubbing, including Ren and Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life. The channel was rebranded as 'Nickelodeon España' sometime in the late 1990's.
