Minhaj-ul-Quran (منہاج القرآن) International is a non-political, non-sectarian and non-governmental organization (NGO) working in over 81 countries around the globe. Its main emphasis is towards the betterment of the masses on social, cultural, and religious footings, to enlighten them with the knowledge of their rights and duties and to present a realistic, rational and scientific picture of Islam.

The Minhaj Social Welfare and Human Rights Society, Minhaj Education Society, Minhaj Women's League and Mustafavi Student Movement are just some of the sub-organizations of Minhaj-ul-Quran. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri spearheaded the movement.

[edit] 5 Stages of the Organization

Minhaj-ul-Quran seeks to achieve its goals in five stages or phases:

1. Propagation: At this stage every member promises to take part according to his capacity to help present the movement’s way of perceiving, analyzing and interpreting among various communities all over the world.

2. Organization : The people who join the mission are organized in regular societies, associations and leagues which work from rural level to the international.

3. Education : In the centres and community halls owned and run by the movement the members receive education and training. They are taught different Islamic disciplines from theology and philosophy to practical character building, the art of teaching, and social theory.

4. Implementation : In this stage those who adopt the lines of the prophetic struggle will have to take practical steps, display actual skills and carry out social and communal activities in accordance with the aims of the movement.

5. Reformation: In order to achieve socio-economic justice, internally and externally, actual changes, reformation and renewal of the systems, are called for.
