Minburn County, No. 27, Alberta

The County of Minburn is located along Highway 16 in East-Central Alberta. It stretches from Vegreville in the west to Mannville in the east, a distance of approximetely 55 miles.

The county is roughly 30 miles from north to south. It consists of 37 townships.[1]

The administration offices of the County are in Vegreville. Vegreville is also the home of the world famous Psyanka or Easter Egg. The only other large settlement in the county is Mannville.[2]

Agriculture is the basis of the economy of the region. There is also oil activity.

The Statistics Canada 2001 census showed a population of 3,436 in the 2,910.42 km² county area, a population density of 1.2 inhabitants/km².[3]
