Minato (港区 Minato-ku?) is one of the 23 special wards of Tokyo, Japan. As of 2005, it has an estimated population of 175,467 and a density of 8627 persons per km². The total area is 20.34 km².

Minato hosts 49 embassies. It is home to various companies, including Animax, Dentsu, Fuji Xerox, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Morinaga & Co., Ltd. and Morinaga Milk Industry Co,. Ltd., NEC Corporation, Nippon Television, Sony[1], Toshiba and Vodafone (Japan).

Minato is located southwest of the Imperial Palace and has boundaries with the special wards of Chiyoda, Chūō, Koto (in Odaiba), Shinagawa, Shibuya and Shinjuku.

The ward was founded on March 15, 1947 with the merger of Akasaka, Azabu and Shiba Wards.
