Minaki, Ontario

Minaki is small community in Northern Ontario, Canada. Located on the Winnipeg River, at the point where the CNR crosses. It is a tourist town, with many camps and lodges catering to anglers and hunters. The town also includes a well-renowned golf course.

The marina is the gateway to the beauty of the lake. Many islands scatter the landscape. The August Long Weekend, is considered by many, to be the perfect time of year to visit the cabins and lodges. The August Long of 2007 is expected to be the most EPIC quest of all time.

Located about 45 minutes north of Kenora, Minaki is a beautiful resort town. The area's lakes and rivers include the Winnipeg and English River Systems. Minaki offer tremendous fishing for bass, muskie, northern pike and walleye. Minaki also consists of large populations of black bear, moose and deer in the areas north of the town.
