[edit] Wikilink to Help:Minor edit
I don't think there would be an uproar if it was done, but this message could do with a link to a page describing minor edits. Any objections? jnothman talk 11:22, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
- I made this change, and as Dbenbenn may have discovered, it doesn't work. All the time, that is. He didn't make any edit summary note or talk page note and that is an annoyance.
Indeed, the link does work, but only in preview mode and not in edit mode. I assume a bug.jnothman talk 02:19, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

- It seems that this must have just been a quirk caused by multiple servers, where I possibly hallucinated a pattern - when I try the change on a personal copy of Wikipedia, use of HTML works fine; use of wikimarkup does not. Is it worthwhile to have another attempt? jnothman talk 08:08, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
- It seemed to be working for me, but it did cause a bit of a problem -- previously clicking anywhere on the phrase toggeld the minor edit status, but if the click was near the linked text it took the browser to follow the link instead, which was a bit confusing. - I think it gets in the way. I usually click anywhere where the text is displayed (not just the box). Can we remove this please (or at least put a small question mark at the end)? --Thorpe | talk 15:17, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

- Ingoolemo added an "id" tag to the Help:Minor edit link, so if you want to hide it, you can do so by adding the line
#minoredit_helplink {display: none}
