Just curious but if shes a Chrsitian why isn't she classified as a Christian singer?-Jay Truscott

Miley is currently listed in the Christian musicians category. This section does not state JUST artists who currently make Christian music, but also people who are Christians but do not make music for the Christian market, such as Isaac Slade (the lead singer of The Fray), and Bono from U2. Hrm... I'm not entirely sure how reliable that site is (musicsquare), as they're not citing sources. They look to be a chart site first and an informational (about the musician) site second. I was thinking something where she says she's a christian, like a news article, so we can get a nice in-line ref for it. I agree it deserves mention if it's important to her, though I suspect Disney'd keep that on the QT to avoid loosing non-religious fans. Ahh, the Disney machine. I took it out and I'm reworking it. This is POV, unverified, and ... well, it's annoyingly unclear at this time. Until you can cite her saying 'I'm a born again Christian and God is a big part of my life' then we need to keep it out. What we DO have are the following quotes "We’re all close and always go to church." (re her family) and "Faith is "the main thing," she says. "That's kind of why I'm like here in Hollywood — to be like a light, a testimony to say God can take someone from Nashville and make me this, but it's his will that made this happen."" Is Miley a Christian Musician?

Okay, coming back to this again because Category:Christian musicians was added ... I don't think she qualifies. Her music is not Christian themed, oriented, nor does it otherwise mention faith or god. While the Jonas Brothers are clearly a Christian Rock/Pop band, Miley's more hazy. I'm pushing towards removing this category. Will other people weigh in on reasons why/why not? -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 21:28, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

She doesn't qualify because the category specifically says that it's for Christian music/CCM singers. However, if someone knows what denomination of Christianity Miley follows, she can be added to that category. Crumbsucker 03:25, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Groan. I've been a debate like this before, and I'll explain exactly what a "Christian Musician" is. A Christian Musician is a musician who continually sings about God, Jesus, and Christianity in general. A musician who is Christian, is a musician who is a Christian, but doesn't sings anything about Christianity. A User tried to convince us that Aly & AJ were in the Christian Pop genre, but that didn't happen. Read the Talk Page and Mediation Page for Aly & AJ for more details. I looked at the history and saw that someone jumped the gun in adding the Christian categories. Let me reiterate, wait for more information like another story on her faith, TV or radio interview, etc., before we add anything to confirm.

Acalamari, based on the definition on the cat page, a Christian Musician is ... one who's a Christian. Miley's stated she has love of her 'faith' but not what denomination/genre that faith is. Either way, however the cat doesn't fit. If you disagree about the definition of Christian Musician, I suggest you take it up on the category talk page. During the Aly & AJ Meditation, a couple of other Users and I agreed Christian Musician is a musician who sings about Christianity in general. A musician who is Christian is simply "a musician who is Christian." So as you can see, it's not just me who thinks agrees with this. I will, however, take a look at the Talk Page. Did you really have to put Miley Cyrus's Middle School when she used to be in Tennessee?

Now that you put it there, Google Earth & Google Maps had an agreement to make the quality of the Satellite images blurred so nobody can really get there without authorization and a better map from the STATE.

Note: Hits to Heritage Middle School on Google Earth: 114,708 and counting.

Lip Syncing?

I know in her recorded videos she definitely is singing, but does she at other concerts? Is there any proof? If you've been to a Hannah Montana Concert please tell me!!! And that is so sad that she got booed on Regis & Kelly. Because the songs on the CD are her! I don't really care if she lip sings.

Protection

Take a look at the archives for Talk:Zac Efron if you want an example of Disney Channel articles getting vandalized to death. But at least with these, most of it is on the talk pages. Sunday, I had to request protection for the Danny Tanner because that page had gotten vandalized with the same things over and over...(See history for that page.)

Unless you have specific reason to believe an image is freely-licensed then it is not. Less than 0.1% of the images you find on the Internet may be used to depict living people. Almost none of them are licensed under the GFDL. --Yamla 01:32, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Lisp

I see on a lot of sites where people seem to think Ms. Cyrus, or the character, has a pronounced lisp. I know it's why I have a hard time understanding her dialouge. She was recently asked about it in an about.com interview and explained it is her retainer (why she doesn't take it out for shooting we'll never know). Anyway, I know I originally came to this page to find out if it was a lisp or whatever (because it annoyed me so when I watched, LOL), and I think it belongs SOMEWHERE here, just not sure where. I am searching for the interview I found a few weeks ago where she was horrified people thought she had a lisp and explained about the retainer. I'll post it as soon as I find it. If you type "Hannah Montana Lisp" or "Miley Lisp" into Google in the meantime, you'll see I'm not crazy and there are lots of people who are confused as well. I think at least the question should be part of SOME Hannah Montana article, not to insult Ms. Cyrus but because lots of people come here to find the answer to that question; I know that's why I sought out her Wiki page to find out. Miley's Birth Mother

I went onto mileycyrus.com yesterday, being a fan, and noticed that she cleared some rumors on her official site. I'm positive that she announced that her mother died when she was young on the rumor page. You mush have sound on to hear it. Could someone double-check this? Thanks. Miley's current mom is Tish. On her official website on the page where she clears some rumors - not merely says them - she states that her mother really died when she was young, so she is not referring to Tish as dead. Tish has not passed away. I was wondering whether or not the fact that her real mother died when she was young should be posted on her article. I'm not sure if I can post a screenshot here of the rumor/truth page, but if I can, I will. The screenshot will only show what the rumor vs. truth page looks like; it cannot tell which are rumors and which are true. I did visit it, and when you click on 'true' for that one, it plays a 'dun dun dun' noise, where as if you click 'false' it plays 'tah dah!' So the answer - NO her mother didn't die when she was young. Sheesh. Tish is alive, and Tish is her birth mother. I think the user in question got the real Miley confused with the TV character. Her character is the one whose mom died (and that was supposed to have been more recent).

According to IMDb, Miley has five siblings: older paternal half-brother Christopher Cody, older step-brother Trace, older step-sister Brandi, and younger half-siblings Braison Chance and Noah Lindsey. Now, she couldn't have step-siblings unless they were her stepmother's children (since they are listed as Billy Ray's children on his bio). I think Tish is her stepmother, though I could be wrong. Maybe Miley's birth mother died when she was a baby, possibly very soon after she was born, meaning that Miley never knew her birth mother. Tish is the birth mother of her brother Braison (he's her paternal half-brother), who is only a year younger than Miley, so Billy Ray and Tish must have gotten together right after Miley was born. Their wedding date is December 28, 1993 and it lists they have two children together (not three, so Miley isn't Tish's biological child). And since Miley's known her stepmother her whole life and she's been a mom to her, she probably doesn't consider her birth mother to be her mom. Especially if Miley underwent a step-parent adoption and was adopted by Tish. That could by why she tells people her mom (Tish) is not dead and some people read her birth mother (name unknown) died when she was a baby. I could be wrong, though. And you're wrong. Go to Billy Ray Cyrus and read about it there, however: Billy Ray had Christopher Cody and married Tish, who had Trace and Brandi. Myspace

Miley does not have a myspace. There are over 1000 people on myspace claiming to be her, all with untrue facts! If you are a fan reading this do not believe that she has one! I did and i learned my lesson.
