Milwaukee Youth Theatre

Milwaukee Youth Theatre Milwaukee Youth Theatre (MYT) was founded by Peter Daniels in 1991. The company started in a small storefront theatre in Bayview, Wisconsin. MYT became incorporated and attained non-profit in 1992. Performances were done both in the storefront space in Bayview and next door at the historic Avalon movie theatre. In 1997 Mr. Daniels moved out of the city and the company is now run by Therese Burazin. The Milwaukee Youth Theatre has since moved to the Eastside of Milwaukee to become a part of the nationally recognized Resident Artist Program at Lincon Center for the Arts an Arts focused middle school in the Milwaukee Public School system. Each Year MYT produces atleast 3 theatrical productions and holds a variety of camps, classes and workshops. Milwaukee youth theatre prides itself on being many kid's first chance to be onstage. Kids are involved in all aspects of the performances such as playwriting, lighting, sound, and stage management.
Upcoming Performance:
Auditions: Milwaukee Youth Theatre is looking for ten actors and actresses ages 7 to 19 to be part of our upcoming production of “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”. Auditions will be held March 26th and 27th, 5:30 – 7:30 PM, Room 208, Lincoln Center of the Arts, 820 E Knapp St, Milwaukee. Performances will be May 24th and 25th. Please have a brief monologue prepared and 16 bars of music to sing. A piano player and a CD player will be available.
