[edit] History
The word 'Milperra' is an Aboriginal word for "a gathering of people". After World War I, Milperra was the site of the Bankstown Soldier Settlement.
In 1984 there was a bikie shootout in nearby Revesby, in a hotel called the Milperra Viking. This altercation has since been called the "Milperra Massacre".
