Millswood, South Australia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Millswood is a suburb of Adelaide in the City of Unley. It is dissected by Goodwood Road, which travels north to the Adelaide central business district from the southern suburb of Pasadena. Millswood also had its own railway station along the Goodwood-Belair line, but this was closed in the 1990s. Goodwood Road passes under the railway line in a deep underpass which may flood during heavy rain. For some time Millswood was home to a Subway Restaurant, on the corner of Clifton St and Goodwood Road. The restaurant was popular and provided much yummy food to the residents of Millswood and surrounding suburbs, however it has since moved about one kilometre south to the corner of Cross and Goodwood Roads. Some attractions of this beautiful Unley suburb include the Millwswood BMX track. This BMX track holds many childhood memories for children of the Area.

The local school in the area, St. Thomas Primary, was notorious in the late 1990's and early 2000's for its dominant primary soccer teams.
