Milid

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Milid (modern Arslantepe) was a Hittite city at the Tohma River, a tributary of the upper Euphrates rising in the Taurus Mountains near present day Malatya. Milid was the base of Suppiluliuma I on his campaign to sack the Mitanni capital Wassukanni.

In the 12th to 7th centuries, Milid was an independent Neo-Hittite kingdom.
