Milford railway station
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is about a railway station in England. For Milford station in Connecticut, see Milford (Metro-North station).
Milford railway station is a stop on the Portsmouth Direct Line, serving the village of Milford, Surrey in England. Although on the level, this station has been known to suffer from 'leaves on the line' resulting in poor traction for trains such as overshoots on stopping and difficulty moving off. There is also an interchange between the up and down lines but this does not appear to have been used recently. In the 1990's there were rumours that this station might be closed.
