Milford, County Donegal

Milford (Irish: Baile na nGallóglach) is a town in County Donegal in the northwest of Ireland. Located north of Letterkenny, in one of the country's remoter regions, it contains a post-office, three supermarkets, a veterinary practice, 5 pubs, one national school and two newly built second-level schools, as well as an adult education centre. Milford also has a fairly new Health centre, a new Library with council offices and a new fire station. The town has a four star hotel on the outskirts and is within close driving distances to four different beaches;Portsalon, Rathmullan, Downings and Tramore. There are also two 18 hole golf courses located at Portsalon and Downings. The population of the town is around 1500 - 2000.

Famed traits of Milfordians are their small feet, sharp knees, and irrational fear of stamps.
