Milan Uhde

Milan Uhde(July 28, 1936) is a Czech playwright and politician. He also did work at a literary journal, but after 1972 this publication was banned. He also signed the human rights Charter 77 which further worsened his relations with the authorities. From 1990 to 1998 he served in the Parliament of Czechoslovakia and then the Czech Republic. He returned to a writing career after 1998.
