Military psychiatry covers the special aspects and disorders of psychiatry peculiar to the military. The aim of military psychiatry is to keep as many serving personnel as possible fit for duty.[1] The role of military psychiatry in the research and development of Psychological Warfare and other forms of military technology has been and continues to be controversial.[citation needed]
