[edit] Image:Ribbentrop-Molotov-update.svg
Wow! Excellent job you have done on the image -- it looks worlds better. Your effort shows! A couple of things that need to be changed:
- The left title should read "Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact," not "Molotov-ribbentrop plan."
- The left picture has a region entitled "Villnus Region." It should be "Vilnius Region."
- In the original image, there is a dot above the "e" in "Klaipeda." This should be transferred to the new image on the right-hand side to have the name be accurate. See Klaipeda for an example.
- In the right picture, "Karelo-Finish" should be changed to "Karelo-Finnish."
And some suggestions for the image as a whole (not necessary, but it could make it look better):
- In the left picture, extend the line from "Bessarabia" box to the region it labels so that it is less ambiguous. Same goes with "Memelland."
- Consider unitalicizing "EP" on the map, to better conform with the legend. Also consider adding the color of the "EP" region to the legend.
- The various shades of blue are a little bit confusing when you get to the second map. Consider making a more noticable color, like a light green or darker purple.
- In the left picture, an island off the coast of Sweden was occupied by Germany. Because the island was so small, it is very hard to tell what color it is. I don't know how to fix this. Perhaps it is just me.
Note that I am in no way diminishing your ability as a picture editor -- better than what I could do! The top four are necessary to be accurate, but the other suggestions are just aesthetics. Thank you very much for doing this. I'll copy this message to your commons account. If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka 02:47, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Chess bitboard image
As has been noted on its talk page, there are several errors in the image of the chess bitboard you uploaded:
- The row numbers on both sides of the illustrated chessboard are different.
- The starting value of the black pawn bitboard should have the value 0xFF in the penultimate byte instead.
- The value of the byte in the black queen bitboard should be 0x10 instead, that is, if you indeed intended the big-endian layout (i.e. more-significant bits referring to columns with earlier letters). Otherwise, the king and queen bitboards should swap the 0x8 and 0x10 values.

It might be better to just drop the idea of using an image and just use a table. -- Dissident (Talk) 16:15, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
