[edit] Glen Jacobs

I know he was born in Spain, it's in the infobox. These kind of things don't go in the lead; as for the other edits, you're changing 'culminating' when it's already spelt right, and that disclaimer isn't needed as nobody is arguing with the fact. SteveLamacq43 16:04, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

He wasn't born in Spain. In fact, he doesn't look like a Spanish dude. More like American & no wonder why WWE ain't showing us where he's from.User:Pic Business

He was born in Madrid, that is a fact.[1], [2] (bottom of page), [3], [4]. Cheers, -- THL 06:22, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image

Thanks for restoring the original, but it'll need a link to the place you got it so that it won't be deleted again. I already inserted who owns the character and series, but it needs a source for the image. Bignole 15:40, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Temp

I think he'd fit the bill, but the problem that I would think of is that it's always a different person, and i don't think they have a "ghost face" page. It'd merely go to the film page (like Candyman), and even then. I think it would be hard to use a character that has different subcharacters. Got me on that one. Bignole 15:56, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

NVM, i checked he does have his own page. Ghostface (Scream), and I also thought of the guy from I Know What You Did Last Summer.Bignole
Yeah, I just noticed that myself...oh well. How about "The Tall Man" and "The Alien". I don't know if they have pages, but that would be cool. I think maybe we could eventually add enough people to break it down and change it from "Modern" to just "Horror Icon", and have "Era" sections...like the "1950s Era" and the "1970s Era". Something like that. Bignole

That's cool. I saw you rearranged Jason and Freddy...I assume that's to put them in historical order? If so, good idea. If not, then maybe there's an idea. Bignole 16:15, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

I saw. I went back and moved the page to "Horror Icons" so anyone you add from now on just use "Horror Icons", not the modern with it. I adjusted everyone's page as well.
I would but I don't know how to change the text color. If I could change the "Horror Icons" to a white color, then it would work, but I don't know how to do that. I don't think that I have the right table format for that. If you could find a template that has that, let me know and then I'll see what the did (or you could just update it yourself if you feel you could handle it). Bignole 16:35, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Good Job, I see you found a way. Bignole

Hmm..I don't know. It's different. Saw isn't really the "horror" that Halloween and Friday/13th are, it's more thriller suspense..but yeah, I think he we have Hannibal then yes. Bignole

Ahh...so that's what you were talking about on the Talk page. Well, I say here what I said there, cause I thought that might have been one of your reasons...we can always take a vote about who shouldn't be on the list. The list is going to be large no matter what we do, but we need to better organize it (like "Classic" and "Modern" aren't really going to cut it) and maybe trim some of those minor villains (which I agree that the Bride isn't really that iconic..but I think The Phantom was, because he's atleast had several movies, including dozens of remakes..Lon Chaney kind of made him iconic). Bignole 21:23, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
LOL, give it a couple days. I mean, a lot of changes were done while I was in class today. Not everyone is on at the same time. People see the talk page has changes, they'll respond. Just give it like a standard wait for deletion (5 days). The template isn't going anywhere, and anything that shouldn't be there will be fine for 5 days if it stays. [edit] Class B

Go click the ratings and it will explain what you have to do to get each one. We need to expand this article (I know this is getting old, but my best example of what to use is Jabba the Hutt, or recently I noticed Padme Amidala.) It seems only the Star Wars fans care about their articles. Anyway, take a gander at those two fictional characters, they are featured articles, and you'll see what needs to be done. Obviously it won't be exactly the same because some characters have more information than others. But you can get an idea of how to write the article, the tone, what type of information to include, how to include, etc. Bignole 19:36, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Leather Birth

That's what I thought. I think the general information about the character should be restricted to the original incarnation, seeing as that was the original vision of the character. If we start mixing and matching information it will become confusing. We cannot detach from the fact that the character is fictional. If we try and fill in the blanks from the original, with information from the remakes then we kind of lose that. I think we should keep the information in the right places. It's like his name. We don't have "Thomas Hewitt" as his name because he didn't originally have name. Bignole 21:20, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edits regarding The Undertaker article

Do you have any references for Mark being born in 1960 or 1965? Both years were used, yet no references. I provided 3 and can provide more, that he was born in 1962. So I don't understand your vandalism. Unless you furnish some references, I will be sending you warnings, and, you know where that leads. User:TheGoodSon

If you'll excuse an outside user, I don't think that you're in any place to make threats. Your edit was clearly bad: the stats are wrong, IMDB isn't a reliable source, and you changed the titles section from what it should be. If you have legitimate sources for 1962, please add them to the article's talk page. SteveLamacq43 00:17, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Triple H

Fair enough, the FACT is that it sounds awful. His profile anywhere is Triple H, when he wins the match he is called as Triple H; the fact that he is called it during commentaries is irrelevant, you could use that argument to put all sorts of nicknames in the lead paragraph, where they shouldn't be. DavyJonesLocker 00:02, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

I understand 'what you're getting at', but that doesn't make it any more valid. Because you won't listen to me, or the person who reverted in the first place, I'm going to be blunt: it is a completely and utterly stupid idea. No matter what you come up with, he is known as Triple H. DavyJonesLocker 00:24, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Please remember to mark your edits as minor when (and only when) they genuinely are minor edits (see Wikipedia:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one (and vice versa) is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting, and minor rearranging of text should be flagged as a 'minor edit'. Thanks! [edit] Cool?

I never lost my cool? What are you talking about? I have told him repeatedly to go to the Talk Page if he/she has a dispute over the template. He's been arguing with me over it, after I consistently say "SEE THE TALK PAGE". When I capitalize it's for emphasis not for anger. I feel like if I don't capitalize it won't be seen in the text, because I tend to write a lot when I'm messaging. He came to me saying "we voted and it's this way" and I went to the talk page and there was nothing there from him. I told him to go to the Talk Page every single time that I reverted, because it was not only decided there what would be in the template, but it was also decided that any additions would go there first, so they could be talked about. He disputed something but, instead of listening to me the first time, the second time, or the third time, he continued to change it back. They only thing I ever said to him was "GO TO THE TALK PAGE". That's hardly "uncivil", cause I wasn't being rude, I was just capitalizing so that he noticed what I was writing. Hell, he even came to my talk page with detailed rebuttles as to why they should be included (though I don't agree with some of it because it's highly opinionated), but I responded with "This isn't some dispute between you and me, I am merely keeping the template the way it was voted upon, nothing more. Again, GO TO THE TALK PAGE AND DISCUSS IT THERE". If you're worried about my capitalization then I'm sorry, that's just how I typed, cause it's rather hard to emphasize things without a voice, or even a face to do it. So I capitalize, I always have..it's in most of my discussions. I appreciate the concern, but I think it's a little much. We agreed on something in the Talk Page, if he wants to change it then he was told 3 times where to go to do so properly. If we start bending the rules for one person then we'll have to do it for everyone. Bignole 18:47, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

You didn't piss me off. Again, I capitalize for emphasis not for anger (though I sometimes do use it for anger) but usually it's because text is text and you can't really change a "tone" for it in my statement. I was only capitalizing so that it was more visible to him as he read, because the normal versions obviously weren't going through. Also, since I tend to get a little long winded it sometimes appears that I am pissed, when I'm not. As for bending the rules, I figured people were allowing him to bend the rules because no one else reverted his changes or informed him that he needed to go the Talk Page to make the proper changes. Cause he reverted it again right before you were editing on there. Bignole 18:55, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Moving pages

Hey, I just wanted to ask you for some help. I requested a move on Mark Calaway to The Undertaker. I requested it on October 24, and it has been five days. The majority is Support 6 to Oppose 1. Now, how do I go about moving the page Since The Undertaker is a re-direct page? If you could please reply on my talk page I would appreciate it. -- Mikedk9109 (talk) 19:29, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi Mikedk: the move will be processed by an administrator in turn, you don't need to do anything. Right now the moves from October 23 are being processed, the moves from October 24 will be processed tomorrow. :-) —Mets501 (talk) 19:49, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your signature

Hi again: I have a question. Would you consider altering your signature a tiny bit? It looks very long in the edit window. Instead of Mikedk9109 (talk) would you consider Mikedk9109 (talk) ? The code looks like this: <span style="background:Black; color:White"> Mikedk9109 </span><span style="background:Black; color:Green"> (talk) </span>. This is only a suggestion, you don't have to follow it. :-) —Mets501 (talk) 20:07, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

The only difference is that the code is significantly shorter and there's no longer a 1px border around the sig. —Mets501 (talk) 20:30, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Much better! Thanks. —Mets501 (talk) 20:34, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Would you please consider not using your custom signature at all in edit summaries? I don't know what tool or tools you're using and if it's technically feasible but it's a bit distracting and unnecessary to have 80% or more of an edit summary be taken up by code that isn't rendered but displayed inline. Thanks! --ElKevbo 03:11, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 3RR

I've violated it too, technically. I've tried to tell him he has to allow other editors to in the least verify his damn sources and his argument and provide any rebuttle they deem necessary (if they do). That he can't just throw some links down and edit how he pleases. Bignole 00:16, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure when the history is looked at that we'll both be seen as violating it and going through and "edit war". But do as you see is right, what happens happens. Bignole 00:19, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Hey dude, just wanted to ask you about something on Kane(Glen Jacobs)'s page regarding the Tag team thing.

I am whole heartedly against posting spoilers. Believe me, I've had many surprises ruined by idiots who went to Smackdown! tapings and decided to post what they knew, I merely wanted to mention tht in the case of the BoD reformation, it's been announced on TV severl times, and is in fact on the front page of WWE.com tht the BoD reformtion is taking place on the next episode of Smackdown! . Given this, I was wondering about your reasoning for removing the note about the reformtion from kan'es page, the reson you cited being "no future events". Thanks dude. [edit] Notes

First, great job on your pictures page. I checked out all of the images and they are all appropriately licensed. Second, however, please refrain from removing the Replaceable fair-use tags from images such as Image:StoneColdSteveAustin.jpg. The tag itself tells you what to do if you dispute the tag. You add another tag, Replaceable fair use disputed, then you justify why you believe a free image could not be found to depict the person. For example, the person is missing or dead or is currently in hiding. You are not permitted simply to remove these tags, though. --Yamla 23:48, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

No, really, you need to justify why you believe a free image could not be found to depict the person. You can't just add a disputed tag. And remember, your justification must be along the lines of the person being dead, not simply that you disagree with WP:FUC or that you are not aware of any free images. --Yamla 23:53, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Leatherface pic

Apparently, we are having trouble with your image again, and it's being tagged for deletion on the grounds that there is no source. I could not find the website that you got that particular image from, as all the ones I did find where just links to Wikipedia. I was forced to find a new image, which is basically just a colorized version of your image, taken as just a profile shot instead of a full body shot. That way I could include the website that I got the image from so that they cannot try and delete it any longer. If you have the original website you got the image, please feel free to be back and retreive your original photo and suppliment your website for mine. Bignole 19:12, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, if he's marking your pictures then it's probably because you didn't provide a hyperlink to the website you got the image from. You were right to include the copyright of New Line, but you will also need to the website addy for the "physical" (so to speak) source. I'd go look for those sources for any image he tagged that was yours before the Orphanbot comes in and removes them. Bignole 19:38, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Images

I've contaced Abu about all his tagging to try and find out why exactly he is tagging the way he is. Bignole 19:56, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

I've been talking to Abu about the images. Most of them I see why he is tagging them. If you are inserting an image that is merely a "profile" image, something that is just meant to show what they look like, then you need to get the image yourself, or have someone get the image themselves. In other words, like where you (I assume it was you) took the picture of Rob Van Damme personally. That is what he means by "free images", because they are alive and it's quite easy to have someone just take their picture. The Rob pic that I have been talking to him about is the one of him with the two belts. I don't think that qualifies as requiring a "free version" as it isn't meant to show "him", but his accomplishment. Now, there is another tag that it would qualify for, and that is the fair use tag involved in images that are not significant to the text. I don't really watch wrestling all that much, so it will be up to you to argue the significance of all these images (that aren't profile pictures) that are being tagged. Your best bet, when he tags your image (because you have a week to respond) is to place the "replaceable fair use disputed" tag (it's part of the tag he providees) on the page so that even if a week goes by the image won't be deleted because you will have started a discussion as to why it shouldn't be deleted. Also, he doesn't appear to actually be informing you of the tags on your images, which is a requirement of the tag. I'm still talking with him, so I'll try and remind him that he needs to let all uploaders know that he is tagging their images. Bignole 01:44, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, I don't mean to be preachy, just help out since I notice that he tagged a lot of your pictures. Bignole 02:02, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edge

It's just a win, nothing of importance for Edge. That it was their first loss would be notable on the DX page, not the Edge or Orton pages. It's already on the tag teams page. «»bdI'm cool!I'm cocky! I'm bad! 20:01, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pictures page

By the way, you can link to (but not include in) a copyrighted non-free image on your picture page by prefixing with a colon, such as :Image_with_colon.jpg. This then shows up as a link to the image. For most people, this isn't worth the effort, though. --Yamla 01:59, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talk pages

You said: "Hey, since your good on talk pages I have a question. If a user has comments on his/her talk page and they decide to delete them because their conversations are "finished", does that give them the right to delete all the comments? Or if a user who left comments previously, has now been blocked, can they delete those comments? I thought you could only archive comments not delete them, because just deleting them is page blanking. Thanks."

The policy is open to interpretation. What I believe is reasonable is to archive or delete old comments that have been dealt with. I think it is perfectly reasonable to archive or remove comments that are more than a month old. And I don't complain if people archive or delete comments that are only a week old, if they've been dealt with. Really, what it comes down to is this... your discussion page is a record of your interactions with other people. If you are constantly calling people names, for example, and are being warned about this, it is unreasonable to blank those warnings. If you continue your behaviour, others may think you have not yet had any warnings. If you leave the warnings in place, people will see what's going on. On the other hand, if you had a bad day and were warned about this but then refrained from any more of that behaviour, there's no good reason for the warnings to remain on your page after, say, a month. Personally, I never delete anything apart from personal attacks (and often, not even those), but it is up to each person. Personal attacks (see WP:NPA... standard template warnings are not personal attacks) are blankable immediately if you wish. This response is meant to give you a "spirit of the issue" rather than the "letter of the law". If you still aren't sure what's reasonable and what is not, please ask for a clarification. --Yamla 22:25, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Sorry about that. I didn't mean to create problems. I was thinking someone was vandalizing my updates. Once again, I apologize.

[edit] Piecrst

Yeah, it seems like it will get deleted. It amazes me that he thinks that most of those people are icons. Seriously, The Toxic Avenger is hardly even remember (i remember him) but he's definitely not an icon; and Godzilla is a science fiction character, not horror character. [edit] Hardy Boyz

The only reason I'm posting that is because it talks about their reunion at Survivor Series in less than three weeks. If you want, I'll just post something along the lines of just saying that at Survivor Series 2006, Matt and Jeff will be teaming up for the first time since August 2002 and leave it at that. Would that be better?

[edit] Championship images

Hey Mike. I've been thinking about images like these today as I've been working on replaceable fair use issues. You're correct in saying that the images, as images of these wrestlers winning their first championships, are not replaceable. The question then becomes whether Wikipedia needs them in that, their non-replaceable capacity; that is to say, are these wrestlers' articles substantially enriched by having an image of their first championship celebration (as opposed to another championship celebration, or simply an image of them with a title belt? I'm not sure yet. I'm going to bring this up on Wikipedia talk:Fair use once I've had a little more time to think it over and get my thoughts in order; you'll probably want to participate in that conversation; if you'd like to go over there and start the discussion yourself, that would also be helpful. --RobthTalk 00:23, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talk pages

I don't know if you've been following the various discussions at WP:AN, but consensus seems to have decided that it's best not to interfere with other user's talk pages. The warning templates previously given for removing warnings from one's talk page have been delisted, and it is now considered harrasment to revert a user's talk page. DXRAW 20:05, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] DXRAW's talk page

I see the situation over there is turning into one of those "removing warnings" kerfuffles. I appreciate that your intent is good, but please just let it slide. It doesn't really matter whether he leaves the material on his talk page so long as he heeds the substance of the warning. I'll be keeping an eye on the situation, and I assume Yamla will as well. As you know, this image removal business can make good contributors quite upset, and it's best not to antagonize them. If he removes it again, just let it go. Thanks, --RobthTalk 20:08, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

No, I'm not going to just "let it go". I was blocked for removing warnings and tags 4 times. All of the sudden the rules change? Its harassment to revert other users talk pages? Since when? People revert my talk page all the time. This is the kind of stuff that I cannot stand. It causes me to go off. You say "It doesn't really matter whether he leaves the material on his talk page so long as he heeds the substance of the warning." WHY WAS I BLOCKED THEN? The rules only apply to me? And not DXRAW? Why don't you use your administrative powers to actually take action, and not just "keep an eye on the situation". Thanks. -- Mikedk9109 (talk) 20:14, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
If he removes any more tags from images, I will block him to prevent him from doing so, as you were blocked in the past. Removing warnings from his talk page, however, is not doing any harm, and so I will not block for that. Looking at the logs, I do not believe that you were blocked for that either, and if you were you should not have been. --RobthTalk 20:18, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Heres proof that I was also blocked for removing warnings from my talk page which was considered "blanking".

1) "Also, please do not blank current warnings from this page. --Yamla 01:26, 1 November 2006 (UTC)"

2)"And you are not to remove current warnings from your talk page. These serve as a record of other users' interactions with you. --Yamla 01:28, 1 November 2006 (UTC)"

So, tell me? Are you going to "let this slide" also? -- Mikedk9109 (talk) 20:25, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

No. I will bring this up with Yamla. I believe policy about this issue has been in flux lately, and he may not have been aware that allowing warnings to be removed is regarded these days as a lesser evil than starting a ruckus over the issue; if you ever run into trouble with this sort of thing again, notify me and I will be glad to help you out. For now, however, two wrongs do not make a right, so I am not going to enforce a bad rule on DXRAW just to make things even. --RobthTalk 20:31, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

You said: "I gave DXRAW a final warning after he deleted the tag and warnings from me and you again."

DXRAW said: "I don't know if you've been following the various discussions at WP:AN, but consensus seems to have decided that it's best not to interfere with other user's talk pages. The warning templates previously given for removing warnings from one's talk page have been delisted, and it is now considered harrasment to revert a user's talk page."
I believe I participated in that discussion and my belief is that no consensus was reached. Nevertheless, it is reasonable to assume that without consensus, we must now allow people to blank current warnings from their talk page. This will obviously be evidence of bad faith if the user continues violating the same policies they have previously been warned about, and I am not happy about this, but a person (even an administrator) does not need to be happy. Mike, thank you for acting in good faith and for warning DXRAW for problem images. DXRAW, thank you for bringing to my attention the discussions once again. --Yamla 20:33, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Mike, please note that you were blocked by me for continuing to remove tags from images, not for removing warnings from your talk page. I remain unhappy that people are allowed to blank current warnings from their talk pages, but this is not why you were blocked. You were blocked for removing tags from images. Well, that and personal attacks. Note that in both cases I issued blocks to you, I subsequently unblocked you as well, before you had "served your time" so to speak. --Yamla 20:36, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Sorry to bother you again. But Someone answer my question that I put down a few months ago and I don't know who said that. This is under the discussion about him. [edit] Bad edits

"Do I have a problem with your edits?", says the person who has come on and reverted many of my edits made in the past hour. I only have a problem with your edits if they're bad. And if you want to talk about bad reverts, perhaps you should check your history bad reverting here, here or here. Reverting simply because you think you know better is not the way forward. [edit] Professional wrestling promotion needs major cleanup

I posted on the pro wrestling project talk page about this as well (and the talk page of the article itself). The article (as of now) is mainly just a list of promotions with a small general description of a wrestling promotion at the top. In my opinion, the article should be about describing a wrestling promotion in general: the owner, bookers, agents, wrestlers, costs and so on. I've looked for a list page of just promotions, and haven't found one. So a list page could be made, and use the information from the article on it. The new list article will be smaller though, since all the promotions listed on the Professional wrestling promotion article aren't notable, are redlinks and so on. What do you think? RobJ1981 06:33, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Good job on all the uploads of pictures. Could you upload some tag team pictures? I've noticed many wrestling teams and stables articles have no pictures. I can provide you with team names, if you are interested. RobJ1981 06:37, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WWE New Year's Revolution poster

I think it should remain as well. I checked the edit histories of both TJ Spyke and Edgecution. I think it might be the same person. At 21:15 TJ's edits stopped, then at 21:34... Edgecution's removal of the poster happened. Edgecution's post before that, was 2:34 on November 22nd. Maybe I'm being paranoid... but it doesn't make much sense. They seem to edit some of the same articles as well. Edgecution's edits are only every so often, that's further proof it could possibly a 2nd account by TJ. If it is indeed the same person, avoiding 3RR by switching names must be some kind of violation. This might need to be investigated, in my opinion. RobJ1981 22:13, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

I can give a heads up to an admin, or post it on WP:ANI or Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets. I think the problem should be looked into, and stopped if it is indeed the same person, especially since it's clearly avoiding 3RR by switching names. Feel free to post it if you want, I'm not going to be on much longer... so I wont be able to post up all the information right now. RobJ1981 22:28, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
I talked with an admin about it, and I filled out a form to have him checked for sock puppets. So this might solve the problem. RobJ1981 01:25, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
One more note about this: do you know which surveys they both voted on? If you can post me the pages, I can add that to the form. As it is now, I don't have enough information. If you can find several surveys with both of them, I would think that should be enough. I know both voted in the pro wrestling project survey about listing champions, but I don't know any others.. do you? RobJ1981 04:34, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WWE Armageddon

There was no consensus on the WP:PW talk page, so be default that means titles will continue to be mentione only if they are on the line. Plus, the arguments for including them were not as strong as the arguements for leaving them out. TJ Spyke 03:31, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Question to ask you.

Ive seen wrestler pages on wikipedia where the wrestler has a move he doesn't use anymore. For instance: Edge. Edge doesn't use "Downward Spiral" (Modified reverse STO) anymore in any way, shape, or form. I understand this is an encyclopedia, and it must be mentioned. Understandable. However, on the RVD page, the Split-legged moonsault/Hollywood star press RVD has on the list he does NOT use as a finisher anymore. Not since his days in WCW has he used it as a finisher. Due to this fact, should split legged moonsault STILL be bolded? Isn't it one of his signature moves now? Shouldn't it be italicized rathar than bolded? Well, get back to me when you have a chance. --TJ Sparks 09:44, 5 December 2006 (UTC) holla at cha boy!

Hi Mikedk. While scanning recent changes, I noticed an anon had changed the licensing on an image you uploaded, Image:John cena.jpg, from PD-self to promophoto, and another editor, User:Hornetman16, tagged the image as having no source info. I'm going to be leaving for a vacation in a few hours, and I need someone to watch my adoptees until I return after the 1st. The two that you haven't met yet haven't asked me anything for weeks now, so I don't foresee them coming along, and you have already met Lazylaces. All I really need is for you to watch my talk page. If you could do this I would really appreciate it. If User:Big Boss 0 comes along, and he probably will, just leave it alone and let me deal with his questions when I get back. Moe Epsilon and I are a little suspicious of him at the moment, and you don't need to subject yourself to this whole issue right now. If you can't, and you get this message before I leave the vacation template on my page, please tell me. If you can't, but I have already left, mention it at the Adopt-a-User talk page. Thanks for uploading Image:Originalcrotchchop.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

While I think its annoying, the policies clearly state that fair use images that can be replaced with free images (ala real people and celebrities) can not be put in the userbox.--CyberGhostface 02:02, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Icon

I'd like to, and I'd like to establish a guide for including people. I've just been real busy with other pages and school work. Bignole 01:34, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

I still monitor the page, and I trust you can work out a guideline if you want. I can monitor and give feedback as it progresses. Bignole 01:39, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Minor edits

You are incorrect as it says in the link you provided "When to mark an edit as minor" one of thos is Removing vandalism. Which i was doing & the only reason you left the minor message on my talk page is to get back at me for the Incorrect Edit summarys i left so to quote you "Don't jump on my back" DXRAW 23:22, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Also you said "you don't have the common courtesy to respect other users comments by leaving them on your talk page." What about this diff on your talk page? Double standards anyone? DXRAW 23:24, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Travis Hafner photo

Please provied a fair use rational for the photo for him and scale down the resolution from the original. I replaced the photo on Curtain call as their is a fair use photo that can replace it and copyrighted photos are only supposed to be used where there is no available fair use substitute. [edit] Watch

Hey, could you add all of the pages at User:The Hybrid/Index to your watchlist, as well as User:The Hybrid/Page? Someone completely illiterate is trying to send me a message by vandalizing them. Something about ECW. Anyway, could you make sure he doesn't for me while I'm gone? Cheers, -- The Hybrid 07:29, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Actually, I'll just come back early. Cheers, -- The Hybrid 07:35, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. -- The Hybrid 20:17, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for the compliment, I joined Wikipedia because it just frustrated the hell outta me when I would come on here to get some legitimate info and all I saw was vandalism, so I started slowly editing from my IP then just decided to create a user account and figure I'd do what I can to revert any vandalism as soon as possible, it just annoys me to no end when I see it, so I figured I'd do something about it :-) Bmg916 00:03, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mikedk9109→

OK, so I've moved the template from the template space to your space because personal templates should not be in the template namespace. Those templates are for the project, and shouldn't be used for personal use. So likewise the template had to go. I moved it to User:Mikedk9109/Navigation for now, but feel free to move it anywhere in your user space. I hope you understand the measures I took, and that you are not offended by my editing under your User space. Thanks for complying! Jaredtalk  02:41, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Leatherface

I responded with my two cents, although I doubt that'll do much good in the long run. Maybe one of us could report the situation to Conflict of Interest?--CyberGhostface 00:07, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Status as administator

No, I am not an administrator. If I was, I would close multiple WP:CFD discussions where I am uninvolved. Why do you ask? Dr. Submillimeter 16:20, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

I work with galaxy categorization as a professional. The difference between categorizing people and galaxies on Wikipedia is that the galaxies are straightforward to classify (with well-established classifications available in large lists on multiple websites) and people do not try to overcategorize them (e.g. no one has ever proposed "Interacting barred spiral galaxies with NGC numbers that are an integer multiple of 5"). On the other hand, people would want to do that with articles on people. It's insane. Dr. Submillimeter 16:27, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] userpage revert

Thanks for the quickl userpage revert. Here is a shiny reward.-- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 19:41, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar
I, Chrislk02, award you this defender of the wiki barnstar not only for your ecellent anti vandalism work, but your ability to look out for fellow editors, most recently reversion of vandalism to my userpage! Keep up the good work it is much appreciated. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 19:41, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] CFD note

Thanks for the note. I understand what you mean—sometimes on CFD one tends to go into 'auto-pilot', perhaps not being quite as explicit or reasoned as one needs to be, perhaps taking it for granted that 'the regulars' will implicitly understand your reasoning. It's useful to be pulled up once in a while. Out of interest, what debate(s) brought this up? If I have been insufficiently imprecise I'll go back and take a look at it/them.

Best wishes, Xdamrtalk 19:54, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Warnings on Wrestling Articles

I'm wondering how people don't see those big ol', all caps warnings and just blatantly ignore them, either that or feel the need to delete them because they are above Wikipedia policy and don't agree with it or something. Isn't that just the most frustrating crap you've run into on here? Some edits will just never cease to amaze me. Bmg916 20:42, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

I totally understand when edits AGF but they are horrible grammatically and whatever so you try to be nice and fix it, but they HAVE to revert it because that's not the way they originally wrote it. *rolls eyes* sh!t happens as the saying goes. Bmg916 20:49, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
I try to avoid it at all costs as well, although one time I did have to have someone (an anon, who actually had a history of useful contribs.) blocked for personally attacking me and other editors over some minor thing on the Carlos Mencia article, sent my wikistress through the roof. I took that weekend off anyway. BTW, how do I get a nifty signature like yours? Bmg916 20:55, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Completely custom preferably. Bmg916 22:20, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
I just want it to be green and in a decent looking font, doesn't have to too fancy, I just don't like the way it is now, too dull. Bmg916 22:31, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
oh, wow, thanks. Bmg916 22:45, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
thanks, I should be able to change it myself in the future now if I ever want too, I'm pretty fluent w/ html. again, thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. Bmg916 23:09, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] You will be missed

Mike, you will never be forgotten. Thank you for joining me in the fight against vandalism for so long, your tireless work improving wrestling and baseball articles, and your countless free use images. Wikipedia has lost one of its greatest editors. You will be missed dearly. If you ever decide to return you will be welcomed back with open arms. Do what you have to do, and I hope that someday you will return. Peace, -- The Hybrid 02:14, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I'll accept your nomination. Thank you my friend. -- The Hybrid 21:15, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

When you're done let me know. I'm not rushing you, just letting you know that I won't be looking for it. Peace, -- The Hybrid 21:26, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Alright, I have answered the questions and added it to the main list. Thank you for doing this Mike; I truly appreciate it. -- The Hybrid 21:56, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

It's saddening to see such a tireless and good contributor leave. You will truly be missed. Thank you for everything. Take care. Bmg916 Speak to Me 19:14, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
