Wow, I'm just about getting up to 1.5k Ilγαηερ (Tαlκ) 00:01, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Or do I edit too little? Ilγαηερ (Tαlκ) 00:07, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)
I suppose. Ilγαηερ (Tαlκ) 00:09, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)
I suppose both points you made in the message. Ilγαηερ (Tαlκ) 00:30, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Rula

You know, for the life of me I can't complete the phrase "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.. Hate me because ____". Can you? It's driving me nuts now. Curse you, Red Baron! - Nunh-huh 00:15, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)

No, it's true. I keep getting stuck at "hate me because I have this bloody awful red hair", and I know that's not right... - Nunh-huh 00:18, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)
I've only ever heard "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful" but that may just be the uneducated 13-year-old jumping out of me. Ilγαηερ (Tαlκ) 00:31, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks...

...for catching my faux pas regarding Lynne Thigpen. I remember hearing about it back whenever, but it just didn't occur to me when I was tweaking The District. Lukkobe usually catches any errors I make on Seattle-area articles--nice to know I have some backup on the TV ones, too. :) (BTW, it looks like you'll pass me in total edits within a couple weeks--gotta get myself fired so I can get back to Wikipedia full time ;) ) Niteowlneils 01:06, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Double thanks...

Not to worry. I'm not going away for good. I'm just not going to let that putz get under my skin again. Either leave me a message on my talk page or drop me a direct e-mail, OK? You're the best, dude. - Lucky 6.9 05:23, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Adminship

Hello there, Mike! Thanks for your support in my recent nomination. Unfortunately, an error was made. I just noticed that my contributions is actually 1,492 rather than the originally stated 1,906. If you want to adjust your vote, I understand completely- and you can feel free to do so here. Thanks for your time! -Frazzydee| 23:11, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Shall we say truce?

Well I aprieciate that. It appears we both laboured under a misaprihention. Let us bury the hatched like adults and God bless you. Good luck with future endevours. :).--Crestville 19:55, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Good man. Hey, do you really like English soaps? How do you get them over there?--Crestville 21:09, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Back, rested and ready

Yo, dude! The Luckster is back and feeling good. Thought you should know.  :^) - Lucky 6.9 00:40, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)

 • I think you broke my Wiki-neck with those Wiki-hugs...but I sure don't mind. I can't think of a better way to sign off before I head for home. - Lucky 6.9 00:45, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)
 • Aw, shucks...I'd better head out the door before my head swells up more than it already has. Talk to you later! - Lucky 6.9 00:49, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Barbie article

Hmm? There's nothing wrong with your version, assuming it's correct... Evercat 00:41, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Well, the deletion of the old version doesn't really affect your version in any way... Evercat 00:44, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Ah, I see. :-) Evercat 00:46, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Sorry, I just remembered that I can undelete the old version. Done. Evercat 00:47, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Adminship?

I read your note on your userpage. It would be an honor to nominate you. Can I do it? :) Neutrality (talk) 01:29, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)

O.K. Think it over. ;) Neutrality (talk) 01:38, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Done! I bet it'll be unanimous! Neutrality (talk) 02:34, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Someone Hijacked My IP

My friends are playing a cruel joke on me, and they hijacked my IP making me look evil. Although... I think they've done enough... However, since it was on a page that was being deleted anyway, one cannot take too much harm in it. I'll pray that they become successful tabloid writers in the future =D

[edit] Misunderstanding

No problem. Anyway, I think we're both a little embarassed about how the whole thing was handled, but we're both better diplomats for it. I've seen your (ubiquitous) edits since then, and I can tell that you're one of the good ones. --DropDeadGorgias (talk) 14:09, Aug 31, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] NY-LON

a TV drama (not a soap, sorry :) ) -- This must be being broadcast in the States; its an obvious attempt to make it for both British and American markets, but on which channel? Dunc_Harris| 21:26, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] HELP!

Would you drop me an e-mail when you have a moment? Thanks, pal. Gotta run, but I'll get back to you ASAP. - Lucky 6.9 23:03, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)

 • Whoops...just logged on a few minutes ago. Hang tight and I'll answer you via the e-mail. - Lucky 6.9 04:50, 1 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Cliff and Nina

I'd forgotten about Angie. Yeah, good catch. RickK 23:35, Aug 31, 2004 (UTC)

I don't remember if they had sex or not. RickK 23:51, Aug 31, 2004 (UTC)

Well, Carla Hall on OLTL had a couple of relationships with white guys before she was "outed" as black, but I don't think they slept together. RickK`

[edit] HELP part two

Didn't see your e-mail, so I thought I'd post here. A certain someone here on this site is driving me up the wall...and it isn't the Bandit. I leave it to your ample imagination and feckless logic to deduce whom. Good news: Ambi is going to block the B-Movie Bandit's IP range! Of course, the certain someone in question may be peeved at the action. Anyway, thought you should know. - Lucky 6.9 05:01, 1 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Oh, is that all? Okay, that's fine. Mike H 05:02, Sep 1, 2004 (UTC)
 • Have I ever told you that you have a gift for understatement...? - Lucky 6.9 23:34, 1 Sep 2004 (UTC)
I don't think it's a horribly big deal. So he disagrees with you. I would care a bit more if it wasn't so evident that he isn't going to change his mind. He's heard the arguments and he is still standing by how he feels. It really is for the best to just let this issue go when it comes to him, because we're not going to change how we feel, and he won't either. Mike H 23:35, Sep 1, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Soaps

Have I watched them? Heck, no :)) I am just listing every television show I set my eyes on. I am not sure if they should be listed under "Popular shows" (so far nobody objected, though)—perhaps listing them under a separate "Soaps" section eventually would be a better idea. I am just not sure if I want to be the one sorting them out :)--Ëzhiki (erinaceus europeaus) 17:07, Sep 2, 2004 (UTC)

Well, you seem to be quite knowledgeable about those things. I just did it for fun (yeah, I know, putting lists in order is not an idea of fun for most people, but I'm not quite normal anyway :)). I need to ask you for one favor, though—could you please wait with taking shows off the list until I am done with all of the "Years in television"? Having all of the shows listed for previous shows really helps putting everything else in order. If you start removing them now, I'll get totally confused. Unless you want to finish years 1979-2004 yourself, of course, to which I have no objections :)--Ëzhiki (erinaceus europeaus) 01:10, Sep 3, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Cord and Tina Roberts

Unfortunately, I'm not really an expert on OLTL. How about Jenny Gardner and Greg Nelson? RickK 18:48, Sep 2, 2004 (UTC)

I added a little bit. RickK 04:48, Sep 3, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Love of Life

Sorry, but my Mom was not as big a fan of Love of Life as she was The Guiding Light, Search for Tomorrow, As the World Turns, and The Edge of Night. (Love of Life probably was her lowest interest level of all of the CBS soaps of the era with the possible exception of The Secet Storm, so I couldn't say any more than has already been said, or even as much.) Hard to imagine that there were that many at one time on one network. If you add in the two other you mentioned, there were apparently eight on CBS simultaneously in the late 1960s. As for Love is a Many Splendored Thing, I resented the cancellation of Password (which was the successor to an early "trial"-type show, Face the Facts. This stuff really needs to be discussed while there are so many of us with first-hand memories. To my knowledge, there has never been a book dedicated to daytime TV promgraming analgous to The Complete Guite to Prime Time TV Programs, 1946 - Present for the nighttime shows. Wikipedia is a good a place for it as any. I would say that any program ever picked up by a major network for any length of time is encyclopedic.

BTW, I have never voted for administrator, but may break that and vote for you. I sort of assumed that you already were.

Rlquall 20:50, 2 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Barnstar

Thanks so much for the honor :) I am very very flattered. Guess I'd better finish cleaning up those articles now that I have an award for the job :)--Ëzhiki (erinaceus europeaus) 15:46, Sep 3, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] 33451 for admin

Mike H said: I don't think this user has met the requirements needed for admin on a normal nomination basis, much less on a self-nomination.

What are those requirements for an admin on a normal nomination? Aren't they the same for a self-nominated? i386 | Talk 16:27, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Hmm...Do you personally expect self-noms to be above the normal "requirements". If so, why? And what are those "requirements" of which you speak? i386 | Talk 17:10, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Why do you feel a self-nom has to back up his request but a normal nominee doesn't, or at least, not as much? Also, I've asked you twice already: What are the “requirements” for a normal nomination? They must exist because you mentioned them previously in the comment I posted above. i386 | Talk 17:19, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Big Brother contestants VfD

Thanks for your comments. I hear what you're saying about having information regarding each season of the show, and there is some of that available already, but I suspect you mean as separate entries. The issue about the VfD seems to revolve around whether contestants should have their own encyclopedic entries on the basis they have appeared on the show, and a number of people seem to think not. I am open to discussion on this, but thought it was best to follow example, and will abide by whatever decision is taken. -TonyW 01:27, Sep 4, 2004 (UTC)

I've taken a quick look at The Amazing Race, and agree that it has a nice style of presentation, which could be adopted to the various Big Brother formats. I notice the contestants aren't linked in the sub-articles for the different seasons, and I think that's the same standard being suggested re: Big Brother. -TonyW 01:41, Sep 4, 2004 (UTC)
I agree that contestant articles wouldn't be needed in the format you're suggesting, providing no-one goes and creates a specific article about them at a later stage saying they were involved with the show and listing what they said, did etc., which seems to be what has happened here with some participants, hence the current VfDs, including those from the UK version of the show that a number of people have initiated. I can see, however, there could possibly be an article created in the future for a former housemate if they became well known in film, stage or TV if they took that line of career. -TonyW 02:11, Sep 4, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Bandit stuff

Thanks for your comment. Would you please point that out on the idiot's talk page? I am SO sick of this. - Lucky 6.9 05:08, 5 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Admin-O-Mike

Do you want to be admin? I'll vote for you if you really do. Can I vote, or do you have to be special? Anyway, I think you'd do a good job, yer always here, there and everywhere.--Crestville 18:52, 5 Sep 2004 (UTC)

I voted for yer. I'm sure you've read it, some of the people said yer too agressive. I've never noticed, but it's the same advice you gave me: "You're being really offensive to a lot of people, and it's not making us like you any. I'm just sayin'." I'm not trying to get at you, I don't think you're being "Really Offencive", I have seen no evidence of you possesing a "hostile attitude", those guys could just be pricks, I dunno, but whatever the case, that's a recurring opinion and maybe it requires attention. On the up-side, there were only two who actually opposed compared to some 40-odd for. Anyway, sod them, just thought I'd let you know. good luck to yer, yer a shoe-in.

[edit] List of films by gory death scene

Gawd, I LOVE this article. How sick am I?  :-) RickK 00:14, Sep 6, 2004 (UTC)

Weird is the least I can say. Ilγαηερ (Tαlκ) 02:02, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] The Secret Storm

Wasn't there a crossover cast between this show and Love of Life? I think there was somebody on this show who was Vanessa's sister on LoL, but I don't remember who it was. I was VERY young. RickK 07:18, Sep 6, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Ode

Ode to Billy Joe-- Man, I thought it was Billy Joe to start with, and someone changed it! Doovinator 07:05, 6 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Guess who...?

Yup, our favorite dummy has snuck in under the radar and I've listed the proxy. Latest addition: Lindsay Korman. Total content: "Actress Lindsay Korman stars on Passions from 1999 to present. She was married to co-star Justin Hartley in 2004." I quit. - Lucky 6.9 20:26, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)

This time it's Liza Huber. Same proxy. This is it. I don't know why I even waste my time. - Lucky 6.9 21:32, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Support

Thank-you for your kind comments! You're a great guy also, and I agree that we should talk more. I'm delighted (but not at all surprised) to see that you are now an administrator! I know that you'll use your powers appropriately. Thanks again for leaving me a message! -Frazzydee| 22:17, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] RickK

Damn it. I swear, one more nasty keystroke out of that user that drove Rick to the brink and I'll personally list his sorry hide on the RfD, so help me Hannah. BTW, I like the new picture of you.  :^) I further swear, I don't know what the hell I'll do if just one more of those other pesky posts from He Who Must Not Be Named comes through after the block. - Lucky 6.9 05:09, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Picture.

Hello there. I thought now that you're in admin (all hail, etc.) You might be able to help me out. I'm not sure how to go about uploading pictures. For example, if I want to upload a file that I've saved from a web-site, what Image copyright tag am I likely to need and if it's not certain, how do I go about finding out? Cheers, etc. --Crestville 18:53, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)

I got it from Google. It's a picture of a TV Character. Is that a problem?--Crestville 19:04, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)
It's a still from the show. I've asked for permission, so we'll see.--Crestville 19:58, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks very much for your support in my admin nomination. LUDRAMAN | T 19:47, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] New Roak Barnstar

Hi, Mike. I just uploaded a new version of your Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar with a different smiley face in the center. If you want your old version back, feel free to revert to it. I'd appreciate your input, though. Thanks. - MattTM 03:55, Sep 9, 2004 (UTC)

Glad you like it. I also have a PNG version of the same image with a transparent background. I was going to upload it, since all of the other Barnstars are transparent PNGs, but I wasn't sure how to replace a JPG with a PNG on Wikipedia. I'm guessing I'd have to upload it and then change all of the links to the JPG version to PNG. Is this right? I didn't want to do this until you'd given your approval of the new version since it would be more of a pain to revert. - MattTM 04:47, Sep 9, 2004 (UTC)
