INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION AT LAST! Bigger than barnstar

For years being varioulsy labelled as "Anti-Romanin chauvinist irridentist vandal", "Anti-Semite", "anti-Russian", "KGB spy", "bureaucratic fuck", at last AT LAST I am recognized as a political analyst of international acclaim! You don't believe me, you my good old wikienemies? EAT THIS:

  • from Talk:Transnistrian referendum, 2006#Fraud, by faithfully yours:
    • "My two cents, just a similarly idle remark: if they were intended to prove there were violations, why did they refuse to send observers (who could provide facts of fraud rather than empty accusations)? I have no doubts that the voters were herded to poll stations in one way or another. But who made them vote favorably? If someone was looking over their shoulders, where are the observers who are supposed to defend democracy, but who prefer wild rhetoric rather than actions?"
  • from Tiraspol Times, a "one political analyst" quoted:
    • "Similar questions were heard elsewhere, with one political analyst asking:
    - If they intended all along to prove that there were violations, why did they refuse to send observers? They would have been able to then provide proof of fraud rather than mere empty accusations. Where were the observers who are supposed to defend democracy? It is all talk, and wild-eyed talk at that, and no action to help young and aspiring democracies improve."

Where is my big wheel-sized barnstar here right away now at once?!!!! `'mikka (t) 21:49, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

The section below is NOT my brag list

I am fully aware and hereby let you know that vast majority of my contributions (including 1,000+ stubs) are of dubious quality and of unquestionable non-originality. A while ago I consciously set my focus on the density of the knowledge web rather than on its individual nodes. I am not afraid of writing poor stubs: the ones I create fill holes in the web rather than in the knowledge: most often I write them for the purpose of disambiguation and to collect redirects from different (mis)spellings. (OK, just a bit bragging) My recent jobs I am proud of are

Now you may ask why I created "Articles I created...", and I will answer: to tell you that I am not at all interested in things I wrote about. In childhood my favorite fun was untangling heapfuls of ropes, and I was really good at that. That's what I am doing in wikipedia now: tracing clean threads in the heap of thoughts tossed into wikipedia by passers-by. And yes, —We Also Patrol Newpages.

Articles I created against my intentions

Joining wikipedia, I thought I will write articles in mathematics, computer science, and dancing. It soon mysteriously turned out that my interests in real life took but a tiny fraction of my editorial work.

I created most of articles listed below as stubs, so I don't claim particular glory for them. I will probably mark those which I am proud of for some reasons.

I noticed that WP:DYK became, like, boring (probably because it is now helplessly swarmed with self-nominations), with entries kinda "... that Duke of Earl was raised by a Franciscan friar?", while life is full of much stranger and equally useless facts, so here is my part of fun (mostly self-noms, of course).

Signoro Sovietico

There is one of Russian jokes about encounters of a touring Homo Sovieticus with an Italian prostitute: her services rejected, the puttana tries to guess what's wrong with the guy: "Signoro impotento?"... "Signoro pederasto?".. until she finally gets it: "O! Signoro Sovietico!"

Wit, Honor and Conscience of our Epoch

A student of the mathematical department of a Soviet university has just passed an exam in Scientific Communism and is being questioned at the exam in Marxist-Leninist Ethics: "Please define 'conscience' " — "Conscience is the Party minus wit minus honor of our epoch". — "Huh? Whaaa..?!!" — "Scientific Communsim teaches us that "The Party is Wit, Honor and Conscience of our Epoch!"
