The school is located along Kapkatet-Cheplanget road, six kilometers away from Kapakatet trading center in Buret district.

School history Sosit Girls Secondary School was opened on 1/2/1988. The founder head teacher was Mr. Josea Mutai. The first Teachers' Service Commission head teacher, Mrs Edna School, was posted to school in 1990.

Physical facilities The school, through collective and even individual efforts of board of government (B.O.G) members, has managed to put up the following facilities: 1. Complete class-rooms 2. Teachers' houses 3. Dormitories 4. Science laboratory 5. Home-science laboratory 6. A library facility 7. A dispensary 8. Water tank (30,000 Litres) 9. Administration block 10. Dining hall 11. Cows’s zero-grazing unit 12. 5Computers donated by Staffordshire University (UK) 13. School Van The population of the school students has grown year after year. The current student population is 300. There are 10 regular teachers and 4 teachers employed by school board of governors.

The school is currently double streamed and registers candidates for Kenya Certificate of secondary Education (KCSE)exams
