Talk:Miki Ando
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Tabloid Coverage
- The Japanese press has been relentlessly critical of Ando's weight, calling her the "lard laden lady of the lutz".
This is an outrageous quote to include in an encyclopedia article. Even if it is true (and I lack the level of understanding of Japanese to verify it) it is highly POV and misleading. The article link at the bottom isn't even about Ando, it's about other students at her former high school. Also, the link is story from a tabloid so it is a highly dubious source of information. Miki Ando is a popular public figure in Japan, appearing in numerous television programs and advertising. Just because someone is critical of her weight (although I fail to see why), it is a tremendous logical leap to claim the press is "relentlessly critical." I am removing both the quote and the link to the article. --Do Not Talk About Feitclub (contributions) 08:34, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
