Miki Garcia (born 17 February 1947 in Kingman, Arizona) is an American model. She is best known for being Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its January 1973 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Mario Casilli.
Miki's father served in the United States Air Force, and his work took his family to duty stations all over the world. She lived in Germany, Japan and Panama, as well as Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii and Montana. He eventually retired from the Air Force and went into the insurance business.
In her spare time, Miki has worked for the Miss California Bikini Pageant at the California State Fair. She was Miss Sacramento and later "Miss Wrestling" on Big Time Wrestling, a local television show aired on Sacramento's KTXL-TV 40.
Miki went on to become a vice president at Playboy, where she worked for 10 years. She also posed for Playboy again in the December 1979 pictorial "Playmates Forever!" In 1985, though, Miki and former Playboy Bunny Brenda MacKillop testified before the Attorney General's Commission on Pornography. Miki claimed that she knew of many Playmates who had veneral diseases, had attempted suicide, used illegal drugs, and performed in orgies to please Hugh Hefner. That testimony, along with her attempt to sell an exposé about Playboy, caused a deep rift between herself and Hefner that ended in the mid-1990s.
