Khrunichev Mikhail Vasil`evich (Russian: Хруничев Михаил Васильевич) - (April 4, [O.S. March 22], 1901 - June 2, 1961) was a Soviet Union statesman, lieutenant-general in the technical and engineering corps (1944), awarded the title of Soviet Labour Hero (1945). Became a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (Russian: Коммунистическая Партия Советского Союза or КПСС) in 1921. Became the USSR Minister of aircraft industry in 1946. Was deputy chairman of USSR minister council in 1955-1957 and 1961.
