Mike Torchia

Mike Torchia (born February 23, 1972 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a former professional ice hockey goalie who played six games in the National Hockey League for the Dallas Stars during the 1994-95 NHL season.
Torchia was drafted 74th overall by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. In his six career NHL games, he registered a record of three wins, two losses, and one tie with a GAA of 3.30 and an .895 Save Percentage.
Torchia actually played on the same backyard rink with future NHL superstar Eric Lindros growing up as a kid in Toronto. After his NHL career, he went on to play in several minor leagues, as well as playing some hockey in Europe.
According to a 2006 issue of The Hockey News, Torchia is currently a social worker in a drug rehabilitation centre in Kitchener, Ontario.
