Mike Smithson is a reporter for Seven News in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.

Smithson started his career at Seven in Adelaide, but moved to Melbourne to become Seven's chief police reporter. He then returned to Adelaide to present the weekend news. He has previously been host of Today Tonight Adelaide and European Correspondent.

Some of his biggest reporting stories have included the 2000 Summer Olympics and the War on Terror in Afghanistan. Smithson can also be heard on Adelaide radio.
