Mike Parrott

Michael Everett Arch Parrott (born December 6, 1954 in Oxnard, California), is a former professional baseball player who pitched in the Major Leagues from 1977-1981. His nickname was "Bird".

Mike graduated from Adolfo Camarillo High School in Camarillo, California in 1973.

Mike played for the Rochester Red Wings and was the International league most valuable pitcher in 1977.

  • Parrott was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 1st round (15th pick) of the 1973 amateur draft.
  • In 1979, Parrott won a career high 14 games for the Mariners. He also led all Seattle pitchers in wins that year.
  • After winning Seattle's opener in 1980, Parrott lost 16 straight to finish the season a dismal 1-16.
