Mike Minogue

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Michael John ("Mike") Minogue was a New Zealand politician and lawyer. He was a Mayor of Hamilton, New Zealand between 1968 and 1976 when he resigned to become a National Party Member of Parliament. He strongly opposed to the leadership of his own party's Prime Minister, Robert Muldoon due to Minogue's classical liberal beliefs. He represented the Hamilton West electorate until the 1984 Elections, when he lost his seat to Labour Party challenger Trevor Mallard.
