Mike Lee

Mike Lee is a law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito. He is the son of former United States Solicitor General Rex E. Lee. Lee graduated from Brigham Young University's J. Reuben Clark Law School in 1997. He then clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Dee Benson in Utah. After a year he moved on to clerk for Alito in New Jersey on the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Alito had been an assistant solicitor general under Lee's father. Following this year of clerkship, Lee returned to Utah where he served in the U.S. Attorney's office. He accepted a position as the general counsel to Utah Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr. in 2004.
