Michael Jones (born 15 August 1987 in Birkenhead) is a professional footballer currently playing as a right or centre midfielder for Shrewsbury Town, on loan from Tranmere Rovers.
Michael came through the youth ranks with Tranmere Rovers making his first team début on the 6 May 2006 against Doncaster Rovers.
After joining Shrewsbury on loan, he made his club début as a half-time substitute - and scored - in the 1-1 draw against Lincoln City on January 13, 2007.
