Mike Jones (basketball)

Mike Jones is an American basketball player who currently plays for the University of Maryland, College Park. He went to high school at Thayer Academy in Braintree, Massachusetts. Due to his success there, he was invited to the McDonald's All-American Game. According to recruiting website Scout.com, he was the 2nd best shooting guard in the country coming out of high school, behind current NBA superstar Lebron James. [1]
Jones is known for his 3 point shooting ability. Due to his shared name with rapper Mike Jones, the Maryland student section usually yells 'Who?' after every basket Jones makes.
In November 2005, he had a daughter with, Morgan Howard. His daughters name is Camryn Howard-Jones.
On December 13, 2006, Jones set the all-time University of Maryland record by making nine 3-pointers in a game. He broke the record of seven that he shared with Walt Williams.
He once was projected to be a late 2nd round pick in the NBA Draft. [2]
