Mike Jones is the hero and main character of StarTropics and Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II. He is the star pitcher of a baseball team from Seattle, Washington. He is also an adventurous young boy who goes off to C-Island to meet up with his uncle, Dr. Steve Jones, only to find out from the village chief that he has been abducted by followers of the Prime Invader Zoda and is given a yo-yo for protection. In the next game, he is given a telepathic message by Mica and ventures off once more to find out that his old enemy, Zoda is back.
