Mike Hercus (born June 6, 1979 in Falls Church, Virginia) is an American rugby union footballer who plays for the USA Eagles and the Newport Gwent Dragons. He plays at fly-half.

He was born in Virginia but his parents returned to their native Australia where he was brought up. He played for Australian schoolboys and progressed to the Australia under 21 side before the Eagles gave him a route into international rugby union. He made his Rugby World Cup debut in 2003, scoring 51 points for the Eagles. He was at Sale Sharks for two seasons as Charlie Hodgson's understudy before he moved to Llanelli Scarlets. There Hercus was able to nail down a starting position at flyhalf, even starting in the 2006 Powergen Cup final (which Llanelli lost to London Wasps 26-10). However with Welsh international Flyhalf Stephen Jones set to move to Llanelli, Hercus moved to the Newport Gwent Dragons in the summer of 2006. He captained The US Eagles for the 2007 Rugby World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay. He returned to the USA for the start of the 2007 Rugby Super League where he plays for Belmont Shore and is in the US Falcons NA4 squad.
