Mike Campbell (baseball player)

Mike Campbell (born February 17, 1964, in Seattle) is an American businessman and former Major League Baseball pitcher. He was picked in the first round (7th overall) by the Seattle Mariners in the 1985 Major League Baseball Draft, out of the University of Hawaii. Campbell had an above average minor league career and was named Pacific Coast League Most Valuable Player in 1987 while with the Calgary Cannons.

After making his major league debut on July 4, 1987, Campbell was in and out of the Mariners rotation from 1987 to 1989. He was the player to be named later in the deal that sent Mark Langston to the Montreal Expos. Campbell got additional chances in the majors with the Texas Rangers, San Diego Padres and Chicago Cubs.

Problems with shoulder injuries slowly forced him out of the game. He pitched in Japan for the Yokohama Bay Stars and retired permanently from baseball in 1999 after a stint in the indpendent Atlantic League.

Campbell joined Steve Towey, who had pitched in the minor leagues and Taiwan, in a business venture called Shiskaberry's, which sells chocolate dipped strawberries at baseball game concessions. Mike was released from his employment at Shishkaberrys after STEALING a large amount of money and is well known for filing bogus L & I claims, way to go Mike
