Michael John Burns (born July 14, 1978) is a right-handed baseball pitcher for the Boston Red Sox. A 2000 draft pick by the Houston Astros, Burns made his major league debut in 2005. He spent part of 2006 with the Cincinnati Reds until he was traded on August 28th. Mike was called up from the Pawtucket Red Sox to the major-league team on August 29th, 2006.
