Mika Midolo

Mika Midolo (née Amitovski) is the Toronto Transit Commission's (TTC) transit reporter. She provides radio and television media with information directly from TTC Transit Control. She gave birth to a son named Corrado in June 2005 and after a year-long maternity leave, she returned to Breakfast Television TTC reports on July 4, 2006.
On Citytv Toronto's Breakfast Television (BT), Mika has become somewhat of a television personality. She is regularly consulted when BT hosts Kevin Frankish and Dina Pugliese are discussing human interest matters and people's favourites that could use another opinion.
Midolo also provides commuter and transit updates on Toronto all-news radio station CFTR known as 680News during morning and afternoon commutes. Furthermore, she does updates throughout the day on CP24.
TTC riders can also hear Mika's voice doing pre-recorded safety tips, and advertisement announcements over the Public Address system in subway stations.
During the Christmas season, Mika has occasionally played the role of Santa's helper at TTC Subways, giving out candy canes and greeting riders.
