Miju Mishmi

Miju Mishmi, also known as Kaman, is a sub-tribe of a major tribe of Arunachal Pradesh i.e. Mishmi. The other two sub-tribes are Idu Mishmi and Digaru Mishmi. They are mainly settled in Lohit and Anjaw districts of Arunachal Pradesh.The Miju Mishmis are followers of tribal religion, which can be closely related to Shamanism. The Shaman is called Kambring. Agriculture is a major source of income with a considerable timber business. Shifting agriculture or jhum agriculture is the most widely followed agricultural practice.
