Miguel Zenon

Miguel Zenon (b. San Juan, Puerto Rico) is a jazz musician, alto saxophonist, and composer. He has performed and/or recorded with renowned musicians such as Charlie Haden, Branford Marsalis, Ray Barretto, David Sanchez, Danilo Perez, Bob Moses, The Village Vanguard Orchestra, Brian Lynch, The Mingus Big Band, Ed Simon, William Cepeda, The Jason Linder Big Band, The Guillermo Klein Big Band, Greg Tardy, and Michele Rosewoman. His debut album as a leader, "Looking Forward", was selected by the New York Times as one of the top 10 jazz recordings of 2002. He also recorded "Ceremonial" and "Jibaro" on the Marsalis Music label, and was selected as part of the Jazz Ambassador program and SFJAZZ Collective.
