Miguel Rodríguez Orejuela was the number two leader of the Cali Cartel, after his older brother Gilberto Rodríguez Orejuela. Together they founded the organization, and with the help of other prominent Cartel members, such as "Chepe" Santacruz Londoño, led it to control 80% of the world's cocaine market, after the demise of Pablo Escobar's competing Medellín Cartel. He was caught by Colombia's national police in 1995 and was extradited to the United States in march 2005 and in 2006 pleaded guilty along with his brother and were each sentenced to 30 years in prison.
