Miguel Darío Miranda y Gómez

His eminence Miguel Darío Miranda y Gómez (19 December 189515 March 1986) was one of the Catholic Church's cardinals, and was archbishop of Mexico from 1956 to 1977.

Miranda was born in León, Guanajuato. He was imprisoned and later forced to leave the country from 1926 to 1929 under the religious reforms enacted by President Plutarco Elías Calles.

In 1969 he was made a cardinal by Pope Paul VI.
