Mieke Buchan (pronounced Me-ka) is an Australian sports broadcaster and entertainment, lifestyle and travel TV host.

Mieke began her career in Australia, hosting the weekend edition of Toyota World Sports, as well as appearing on various other sports programs on SBS, including The World Game. She now lives in Los Angeles, and works internationally, and all over the United States.

Buchan has covered the world's largest sports and entertainment events, on networks including ESPN, Fox Sports Net, National Geographic, Encore, and the Tennis Channel. She has covered events including the Olympics, World Cup Soccer, US Open Tennis, the Super Bowl, F1, The Encore AX awards, & The Aria Awards. Buchan has interviewed many of the worlds most prominent athletes, actors and directors.

She recently hosted the AX Action Movie awards for Encore. Mieke co-hosts The Celebrity Poker Pro-Am for ABC/ESPN, which began airing Jan 7th, 2007 on ESPN. She also anchors weekly film review and interview show STC previews on the Soundtrack Channel, which can be seen in over 30 countries. Buchan can now also be seen on The Tennis Channel (TTC), hosting The Glam Slam, US Open special, and Destination Tennis, a travel and lifestyle show that visits, and explores, the locations of the world pro tennis tour. Mieke is the host of The Newport Tennis Smash, another TTC network special, featuring a rare and personal interview with Martina Navratilova. She also co-hosted Celebrity Poker at the Pechanga on Fox Sports (FSNW).

Buchan has co-hosted the last five Super Bowl broadcasts from the field, including the 2007 Super Bowl in Miami for live SBS Australia coverage.

  • In 2003, she was nominated for a Logie Award in the Most Popular New Talent (Female) catergory.
  • In 2003 she appeared on the cover of FHM magazine and become one of FHM's 100 sexiest women.
