Midtown at Forest Acres formerly Richland Mall located just off on Forest Drive at Beltine Blvd in Columbia, South Carolina.
Midtown at Forest Acres opened in the late 1960s as a strip center. Midtown at Forest Acres was enclosed in 1988 and opened as Richland Fashion Mall with Bonwit Teller, JBWhite, and Parisian. Today known as Midtown At Forest Acres, the former Richland Mall is anchored by Belk. Bonwit Teller closed in 1993 and was replaced by Dillard's which closed in 2003. Parisian closed due to the Belk merger in 2006. Crown Plaza Hotel has been announced to fill the former Dillard's location.
Other major retailers on the Midtown at Forest Acres campus includes TGI Fridays, Regal Cinemas, Bank of America, Barnes & Noble, and S&S Cafeteria. Verizon Wireless operates a call center in former mall space. Eckerd also had a pharmacy at Midtown until 2005.
In March of 2007, the Midtown foreclosed on its loan. It will be auctioned on April 2nd, 2007.
