Midnight Resistance is a 1989 arcade game produced by Data East. It was later converted computers by Ocean Software.
An arcade conversion for was made for the home computers Commodore 64, Amiga, etc.

When fighting against the amoured tanks (the ones with the turrets), you can use the shower power up to kill the turret when it is aimed away so that you don't get killed so easily.
When buying power ups, make sure you check out all the prices out as sometimes you get them cheaper nearer to the exit.
[edit] Glitches
If you buy the "fire" weapon and press "A" or the fire button rapidly without holding it down, you will not use any ammo but will give you a small fire stream enough to kill the foot soldiers and/or other stationery objects.
