[edit] History

When Mark Chavez left Adema in late 2003 following the release of their second LP titled Unstable, he later on in the year announced that he had started a new band called "State of Mind". At first it was rumored that Mark had recruited guitarist Geno Lenardo and bassist Frank Cavanagh of the band Filter. This statement later turned out to be false.

In the summer of 2005 it was revealed that Chavez's new band name was "Midnight Panic". In addition to Chavez, the band features guitarist Peter Shubert, bassist Mike Montano and drummer Cesareo Garasa.

On December 23, 2005, the band announced that their debut EP was available for purchase via their official website. A music video for the song "Tonight Is Our Last Night" was released soon after.

It has been announced via their MySpace blog that the band has finished recording four new songs which will be available on their upcoming LP. The first of the four recorded tracks released to the public was a song titled "Everyday".

The band remains unsigned at this point as they are currently meeting with record lables. With Mark's success in Adema, it shouldn't be too long before the band is signed as Chavez has an incredbibly large fan base and is helping him to regain is mainstream attention once more.

Not many fans of Adema know this, but this information was posted on Adema's official forum website under a topic named "The Origins of Adema". When he left he was replaced by Adema's current bassist Dave DeRoo. This marks Montano's second time working with Chavez. This info is available via Midnight Panic's MySpace site[1].

  • Jonathan Davis is the half-brother of Mark Chavez.
