A small hamlet straddling the road between Darfield & Great Houghton, close to Barnsley, where Middlecliff lane joins the B66273. A collection of mostly council & ex-council houses is served by a Post Office, small corner shop and a Working Mans club. Often confused with Little Houghton, this village is served by 2 bus stops.
