Middleburg is a census-designated place and an unincorporated town in Clay County, Florida, United States. As of the 2000 census, Middleburg population was 10,338.

Middleburg is located at 30°3′3″N, 81°54′7″W (30.050783, -81.902013)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 47.3 km² (18.3 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 10,338 people, 3,485 households, and 2,843 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 218.4/km² (565.4/mi²). There were 3,653 housing units at an average density of 77.2/km² (199.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 93.17% White, 3.23% African American, 0.72% Native American, 0.63% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 0.64% from other races, and 1.57% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.57% of the population.

There were 3,485 households out of which 44.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.2% were married couples living together, 10.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.4% were non-families. 13.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.97 and the average family size was 3.23.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 30.9% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 31.9% from 25 to 44, 22.5% from 45 to 64, and 6.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 100.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.7 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $45,722, and the median income for a family was $48,434. Males had a median income of $32,348 versus $23,498 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $17,531. About 7.1% of families and 9.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 13.9% of those under age 18 and 5.3% of those age 65 or over.
