Mid atlantic nostalgia convention
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Convention is an annual event, offering nostalgia items for people who attend the event. The event is held annually in the state of Maryland. The founders of the convention, Michelle and Martin Grams, Jr., established the event so anyone who attends can look back at the days of their youth. They defined nostalgia as "anything you long for since the days of your youth, that is no longer available."
Hollywood celebrities attend the convention to sign autographs and have their pictures taken with fans. Stars in the past include Lana Wood, Erin Gray, David Hedison, Buck Biggers, Marta Kristen, Kenny Miller, Conrad Brooks, and Richard Herd.
Events from previous conventions included Dragnet spoofs, Female Detectives on Radio, The Green Hornet, World War II cartoons, buying and selling collectibles on eBay, news coverage of the John F. Kennedy assassination, James Bond in cinema, Harry Houdini in cinema, collecting old-time radio programs, drive-in movie theaters, a retrospective of Alias Smith and Jones, and the creation of Underdog.
