←The Michigan Theater is truly a jewel among American movie palaces. I have enjoyed going to the wonderfully restored theater for many years. My wife and I have sponsored a first-row balcony seat which has our names on it. There is one weird practice of the theater, it rarely shows matinees. Most of the movies are first shown around 4:00 p.m. I am among the people who really enjoy movies around 1:00 p.m. Every other art house movie theater shows matinees, at least on the weekends. I hope that this message stirs some discussions that may lead the Michigan Theater's management to throw us a few matinee showings.
