[edit] Bronze medal?

The link to the U.S. competition that he competed in lists someone else as having won the bronze medal. Am I missing something? PAWiki 19:10, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

This site says A U.S. Bronze Medal: At the intermediate level at age 17, Solonoski turned in a solid and stylistic performance at the 2001 South Atlantic Regional to qualify for the U.S. Junior Championships. Earning a bronze medal at the national event was very exciting for him. ...but yet I don't see the name in any of the 2001 results. Google doesn't help. I know nothing about skating - is 4th Bronze material? If this is confirmed, I think it should go back on Drexel University alumni list. -- RevRagnarok Talk Contrib Reverts 18:02, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Bronze is actually third, but third in the junior championships hardly makes him too notable, at least in my view. Maybe if he made the Olympics or something. PAWiki 19:44, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Considering nothing is on this page in factually incorrect, I think the talk page link stating that this article's factuallity is disputed needs to be removed. Additionally, I believe that, considering the information is correct, he should be added back to the alumni pages of Parkland High School and Drexel University. --Melindawobran 01:33, 13 June 2006 (UTC)--Melindawobran 01:33, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Even if this statement were correct, "Michael J. Solonoski is a American figure skater and the Intermediate National Bronze Medalist at the 2001 United States Figure Skating Championships," he appears to have very limited notability. But then I learned that he didn't actually take third place (yawn) in the actual 2001 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, but in some junior-level event. There is nothing that I can find that suggests he has any notability in the world of skating, much less the general population. The bio here also should be updated to reflect the facts, though I'm sure some would suggest it barely meets the threshold for wikipedia inclusion. I will withhold a nomination to delete the whole thing if it can be correctly updated and, in the meantime, I am removing him as a notable figure. Third place in some junior skating event hardly meets the definition of notable. PAWiki 14:49, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
I presume "intermediate" level bronze is some lower level of competition of the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, so I am going to remove the disputed label. But it still doesn't appear to me that this person has distinguished himself in any notable way worthy of encyclopedic entry. PAWiki 17:22, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
Just RfD|vanity. You got my vote. -- RevRagnarok Talk Contrib Reverts
Intermediate is the second-lowest of the five competitive levels in U.S. figure skating. He has very limited notability in the skating world, and hasn't requalified to U.S. national competitions since 2001. RfD. Vesperholly 09:26, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
