[edit] Birthplace/date

The primary sources available at ancestry.com are self-contradictory on the issue of Mr. Saxe's birthdate and place. On his WWI draft card, Saxe listed a birthdate of 12/22/1886. On his WWII "old men's" draft card, he lists 12/22/1888.

On the 1900 and 1920 censuses, Saxe is listed as having been born in Odessa, Ukraine. On the 1910 census, he is shown as having been born "at sea". On the 1930 census, he lists his birthplace as Philadelphia. The New York Times obituary does not give a birthplace. NawlinWiki 20:08, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
